You do not require prior training to attend The Extension Academy classes. Some knowledge in the beauty industry is recommended but is not required. Many of our students are beginners with no prior experience. We have built our classes in a way that suits both beginners and those with experience.

All of our certification is provided through our training academy 'The Extension Academy Inc.' The Extension Academy complies with all state and province laws in the territories that we operate. We are pre-screened and approved by the Ministry of Colleges and Universities in Ontario under the Private Career College Act 2005. In Canada, your certification is categorized as ‘a single skilled vocational training’ and has been pre-screened to be in compliance with the Private Career College Act 2005. It is the responsibility of the student to confirm with their state, province, county, region, etc. for any additional guidelines or requirements in their district.

Our class lengths vary depending on the course. Please select the class you are interested in via the 'Classes Available' tab on our menu to view the class length. Classes are usually 8 hours (both online and in-person).

Our in-person class sizes vary depending on the course but we keep our class size small to maximize your training experience. We host a maximum of 8 students per class.

You will receive your The Extension Academy training completion certificate upon completion of your course. If you misplace your certificate and need a replacement, there is a fee of $35 to have a new one mailed to you. Replacement certificates can be requested via email.

Your training certificate is recognized anywhere in most countries. Depending on what country you live in and where you plan on practicing, guidelines may vary. It is the responsibility of the student to research these guidelines before registration.

Most students work on a freelance basis within their own home based or mobile business. Some students will gain employment in salons or spas. It really depends on the type of future you are looking to create for yourself! It is the responsibility of the student to research any business licences that may be required.

Please note that under no circumstances do we provide refunds on class fees. Please view our terms and conditions before registering for a class. We do allow transfers into other classes with 15 day’s notice.

Yes. We have many students come from countries all over the world to take our classes. We are happy to welcome all international students. There are no pre-requisites required.

Students have a period of 6 months to provide client / model before and after shots for assessment via email once you have completed your course.

Yes, we offer payment plans through "afterpay". There is no interest on our payment plans. Please email info@theextensionacademy for more information.
